Liberation Seed Farm

Liberation Seed Farm is a sustainable food forest and family farm located in Prospect, VA. The primary mission of Liberation Seed Farm is to build healing relationships with the land , and provide safe space to BIPOC and LGBTQUIA for rest, celebration, rites of passage, creativity, etc. We practice traditional Haitian (Jaden Lakou) and “African Black Earth” cultivation. We firmly believe that land is freedom.

Fall 2019-Present

We have been busy!

Feeding community…

We have become a regular at our local farmers market. People can’t wait to eat what we grow! We have also given away much our our food to people in need, churches, neighbors, etc.

Safe space…

I was overwhelmed at the beginning of this journey. It feels amazing to be on year two. The vision keeps becoming less cloudy.

The first tilling of the field.

The winter greens are looking happy and healthy!

Hunters used to use this land a lot. I’m happy to clean up the mess so this forest can flourish!
